I must agree with Mary Doerzbacher that the dialogue is forced and unbelievable. Too many things are not explained, too many things over simplified & explained with a toss off comment. Over the top character accents are followed by characters with no accent at all. The movements of the characters within the territory are confusing and unrealistic. The imagination can be stretched only so far. (the character Michael while attempting to save his girlfriend from a murderous fiend, stops to frolic in her bed in a house filled with men wanting to find and kill him? Seriously? Or the hypothesis, made by the main character, that the Indians would starve without the trade from Hudson Bay Co.? Oh come on!) I have watched 5 episodes of this series and kept hoping it would get better. That it would hook me like I was hooked by The Last Kingdom. Now that's a show to watch!
