I discovered the movie because of the meme and I thought, "Huh, interesting. Better check it out!". Sadly, I can't even get past 11 minutes. It's SO BAD, I can't even finish watching the whole movie. It's basically the most cliché storyline ever (main socially awkward guy has crush on popular girl in high school and has geeky friends. Hmm? Where have I heard that from?) , it gives me this whole wimpy kid vibes except it's well, cringe. Who's the intended audience anyway? Teens? Metalheads? Teens would prefer watching shows like Riverdale. If I show these to my Metalhead friends, they will be cringing too. I gave 2 stars, because it at least shows actual bands and I really appreciate those little details here in the movie. (Gwar patch, Cannibal Corpse poster, Iron Maiden font) If you like The Wimpy Kid movies but you prefer Greg to be a Metalhead summoning a demon, then this movie might be for you.
