I loved this movie so much! John David Washington did such an amazing job! This movie reminded me of "Beloved" Or "Eve's Bayou"! A movie you have to pay attention to. You were able to get a feel of each character's challenges in life which was brought together beautifully. The hot comb scene reminded me of Denzel Washington talking about "culture" when Berniece was doing her daughter's hair made me think about my own childhood of my grandmother doing my hair in the kitchen. So many elements and factors that were embraced. @badivaquia

Love love love! So many great actors/actresses! I think Kevin Hart true acting skills shine in movies like this. Everything is unexpected!

I thought it was very good. A good blend to catch all ages and stuck to the focus on the character and theme. Great quality and great actor. Actually looking forward to seeing part 2!
