The film accurately portrays Trump. Although in the beginning, it shows him as seemingly human, he gradually loses his humanity over time. His niece, Mary Trump, describes him as always being unconcerned about his effect on others, even as a child. The film also focuses on Roy Cohn as Trump's biggest influence. Mary Trump describes Fred Sr. as Trump's biggest influence. I suspect both are probably true. I don't think Cohn could have had as much influence on Trump if not for the powerful influence of Fred Sr. first.
I felt sickened by his inhumanity throughout the film. It's a necessary watch.
