I personally like Zakir’s comedy and he was decent with what he had. Especially his chemistry with Gopal sir and his camaraderie and unique relationship with the guests that came. What I liked about his comedy is exactly why the show didn’t work. His jokes never have the stereotypical body shaming, husband wife, rich poor jokes. That said, the failure isn’t his fault. His real and relatable audience is on the internet- prime, netflix etc. On national tv he will be restricted cz majority tv audience prefers the stereotypical jokes I just mentioned and won’t relate to the jokes he usually writes. And unlike Kapil, he didn’t have the protection of some bigger celebrity who would watch his back if anything goes wrong and he isn’t that known among the old tv audience which is why the other 4 members were also restricted, though barring gopal sir I didn’t like the others.
