Skyalized to the point where you forget what you're watching. Landscapers tries to break from the normalised procedural true crime of the BBC and ITV, but only ends up falling over it's own feet. Could not have been more cheesy of Gerard Depardieu himself didn't rock up. What could have been a two part serial or a seven part investigative procedural has been boiled down to some kind of genre bending pot roast. Wait for the ITV product... There will no doubt be one. The acting is a bit Blackpool.

The best element of this programme is the casting and acting. If you have seen Tiger King, you will no doubt recognise a few of these characters. If anything however, it is a little good guys vs bad guys and is a little balanced in Baskin's favour. The woman is certified bat-droppings crazy, and the only level headed person in the whole tirade, is the unfortunate bloke who recently died. Anyhow, this is a freak show of another type. It is entertaining, funny and well produced.
