To keep it short and sweet, Barbie is a movie that presents the realities of our world along with how neither a patriarchy nor a matriarchy are good solutions. The comedy in the movie was hilarious, to say the least, but there were lots of deeper meanings behind everything.
It was a movie, therefore meant to entertain, but it also subtly informed us of some of our societal problems. America Ferrera's rant about what is expected of women is something I applaud her character for. All in all, I enjoyed the movie and it's message, and I hope others did, too.
