So everyone saying that hits are impossible and gameplay is terrible, they are wrong. Those people most likely suck at the game. That’s not to say NHL 23 isn’t flawed. Of course it is, ea sports games are always more flawed than 2k or the show. With that being said I do think this is probably the best NHL since 14 but it is not a close second. My main issue is the laziness in upgrading modes besides HUT. Be a pro needs a serious serious overhaul and franchise needs to be tweaked as well. They made some progress in franchise this year but also took steps back for example now having to set strategies before each game because “I’m not the coach”. Very annoying. There’s a lot to be done, but this game is still fun and the gameplay is actually better than in awhile. I can actually have productive shifts in my zone passing it around and shooting and getting a deflection just like real life. 3/5 for this game is fair. Overhaul be a pro and tweak franchise and maybe it will be a 4 or dare I say 5 star game.
