Can't even get past the "game will be ready in less than 10 seconds" screen despite very modern hardware (and software, I guess?) 8-9 years ago I played EVE and somewhat enjoyed it. These days it's completely busted, and with 2 hours of researching and tinkering files/settings, I'm still unable to get it running. I'm even a computer science major that codes in C++, C#, and Python. It's a shame that developers can build such a complex game yet cannot make it accessible to such a large chunk of users. If they cannot even fix a massive barrier to entry for most (documented on many forums), imagine what else in the game they've been unable to fix.
