One star because of the disception. The visuals are amazing, great fx, great camera shots, and subsequently the budget must've been great. However the script is dry, and painfully 2d. All other aspects are good enough to draw you in, but the choices made by the lead Alice make little to no sense. Same with the one scientist, who voices obvious plot narratives being established as almost as if she's playing the audience. Her character later deceives the "brainwashed" characters, fellow research scientist infected by a plant that makes you happy. She tricks them for a substantial amount of time only to public out her deception with no plan. Then some hasty actions to the advance plot... If this script had a b movie budget, I would've liked it a lot more. I legitimately feel robbed for sticking it out, even as the bland absurdity ache onward. Not much happens. I feel like... if call waiting was movie
