From the introduction of the movie, it had all the ingredients for a great story. Hero explorer, unknown land, creatures, futuristic aircraft, but unfortunately it feel short due to a lot of reasons! This movie is not about adventures into the unknown world, it's more about family bickering. Some may say it's about acceptance, but if the moral of the story is about a son who hates what the father does and proves that his father is wrong and they should accept what the son thinks is right…oh boy, this movie has tons of moral issues that a young audience should NOT watch! Disney has gone way over the limit in promoting WOKE movement, I am not against that, but right from the get-go, Disney bombards you with gayism, interracial marriage, teenage gay relationship, race, body shaming, strong women and weak men. Disney is not telling you a story, but preaching that it's okay to be a weak adult man, being a fat woman, and worse, promotes teenage gay relationships. This is not a “family” movie, it's a Disney agenda movie. Besides promoting WOKE agendas, the story was full of plot holes.
The character was all mostly, whinny, annoying, exasperating. They were constantly arguing with each other about what I want to do, what you should do. They were dull as white bread.
The visuals were a copycat from Avatar, but with less color palette. Although some of the design was good, all of it felt flat, and not that inspiring. I was not impressed. Even when I try to enjoy the movie as it is, I couldn’t, due to the constant argument between the sons and their father.
Disney, you have to stop all this WOKE nonsense. When you want to tell a story, just tell a story, it DOES NOT need to include what is happening in real life! That is why we go to the movies, to take a break from real life! We don't need to be nagged in movies about WOKE agendas or be disrespectful to our fathers! Honestly this movie is complete garbage!
