The storyline was interesting. It never went into details on why the civil war started, what the people wanted nor negotiations.
There was no real build up. Just ACTION. What I appreciated most was the photojournalist visuals of what could be the U.S. demise in the coming future. The drone footage was stunning. Nice effects.
Besides that, everything was pretty predictable. I could have fast forwarded to the end to see what happened and not have lost any meat of the story.
New characters who were introduced throughout didn’t make an emotional connection enough to care if they made it or not of which most didn’t.
And the ending was a very huge disappointment. Someone who had spent their entire life covering wars in other countries should have a more victor ending than what was. It was an elementary move for such a professional and award winning documenter.
I wouldn’t recommend it, but I also wouldn’t stop anyone from going to watch. It could do well on Netflix
