There was a lot that I liked- JDW, the setting, and cinematography. However, the plot could have wrapped up better. It would have been more satisfying if it wasn’t mafia, but a scandal uncovered & a sense of justice, as I was invested in Beckett’s accidental hero’s journey. As a character arc, he could’ve become more emboldened by the courage it took to fight for justice. It flopped in the end, as if nothing is worth fighting for & its all a corrupt money machine. April’s father coming out was an unresolved loose end & it would’ve been nice if he’d been a last chip for justice.
