It is not often that you find a show that refuses to follow a formula and remains fresh and original every step of the way. The absence of embellishment in the writing, the acting, the script, the sets, allows you to focus on the story and the characters and it is the most interesting study in the unraveling of a modern family, on so many levels. The violence, the vulgarity, the death, the menace, none of it ever feels superfluous and pandering for the sake of entertainment. This series is a remarkable accomplishment from an exceptional team.
