I just saw Sound of Freedom. I had read it was controversial. That President Trump, QAnon and Religious fanaticism were a part of the film. I found none of this to be true.
There were zero references to any of the above. I am sixty-five and had heard of people being trafficked most of my life. It never impacted me very much until one day, i think i ran into it head on.
I found this to be a thoughtful movie. At the beginning of the movie i wondered if it was appropriate to be sitting in a crowded movie theater watching the movie, eating popcorn and being interested or entertained by it.
But, like other movies i have seen, sometimes things can be hard to watch but the story behind them is important and needs to be told, transforming it into a reality.
I'm sure parts of the story may have been exaggerated or not 100% accurate. Just like the dozens of other true stories i have watched.
I think this movie gives a little bit of light and hope to the world. I found it very worthwhile.
