Dasara – My 2 cents about it!

Raw, Rustic, Real, Racha are the words I can think of after watching DasaRa. Kudos to whoever has put together this team. It's just unimaginable that all these (young/unheard) people have bought together a piece of cinema of this quality. It’s not a thriller but will put you on the edge of your seat, it is not a love story but will make you fall in love with the characters. It’s a PROPER Telugu commercial movie (that we all know and grew up with) that exactly has a realistic Tamil movie flavor. I personally have never seen such a combo. It’s a movie that has given me goosebumps on many occasions and an extremely satisfying feeling in the end.
Nani – Nani, you da man! Seriously – What a performance. Sensational. If I were you, it’d have been very difficult (before accepting the movie) to imagine myself in that character it has so many variations. I don’t think there was a better turning point movie for any star in Telugu so far until this one could be for Nani. I’m just curious to see how Nani chooses his movies after this one. This one was made for Nani and hard to imagine someone else doing this. We truly have another star hero here.
Srikanth, Director – How can one say he is a debutant? It was as if like he is already in a 100+ movies club. One thing is for sure – after this movie, all our big star heroes will want to line up in Infront of him. There are so many mind-blowing sequences and gripping narratives that felt very real and new. Thanks to his brilliant technical team (for visuals and stunning cinematography) but all Kudos to the director. The black tone, dark touch, dusty sequences, the lighting used, night/fire backdrop in the final sequences - all felt very special. The climax was hair-rising (in fact many hair raising moments). This guy sure is the one to watch out for.
SaNa – I always loved Santosh’s music. I hardly missed a Tamil Album of his. It is great to see Telugu cinema use his talent now. It’s a super surprise choice to have him for Dasara (but again much of the cast and crew is a pleasant surprise). His BGM was just out of the world. His work is the heart and soul of this movie. The Cinema house was vibrating at times, Thanks to his exceptional work. It was all fresh, crisp, though loud felt very fine-tuned. Genius!
Nani, Sana, and Sreekanth are the 3 real pillars of this movie and their contribution was miles ahead to rest of the cast/crew (though there isn’t a single character or technician who underperformed)
A movie for a big screen with a great sound system.
