First of all, I love Mark and always make it a point to watch all his new movies as they come out. With that being said, this movie was so not up to his potential. Halle and Mark both looked exhausted trying to keep up with the action of this film. I am not one of those ladies that bashes other women, but this was ridiculous in trying to put her in super tight fitting outfits to keep her body as a focus point followed by a super young idea of a hair do. No thank you. The plot was a generic action movie with very predictable points throughout the entire film. Was super disappointed overall.

This movie seemed really good based on the trailer I saw. Finally watched it and I can honestly say I am so confused. I got that the main lady was having a hard time adjusting to the small town and dealing with issues pertaining to her family and husband. But the rest was just off. The relationship with the coach and student was weird, and it seemed like it was ok because maybe they were in love? Even though she seemed super uncomfortable. Overall, the movie was just weird. I don't even understand why Vanessa hudgens character was included. And the sad ending where the only one that died was the teenager was dumb. He was the only good person of the whole movie. Did not understand where the story line was going or was supposed to end. Save yourself time and don't watch it.

First off, I love Jodi Picoult and own almost all of her books. I was given this one as a birthday gift and was so excited to start reading! The beginning of the book was great and captivating, yet I found myself skipping over almost all of the bee information. It was way too much detail compared to the lack in detail for the characters. I also didn't like how it was only from lily and Olivia's point of view. Lily being trans should have been included in the beginning to cause less confusion about Asher and their struggles. That being said, the abusive relationship between his parents took over and there was no resolution, he just disappeared after her testimony and they never discussed how the dad really was or what Asher remembered. The ending seemed rushed as well, with the killer being her bets friend and nothing happening to her? With that being said, we knew that Olivia was going to get with the cop, it was just an after thought it seemed and thrown in at the end. Overall, I am questioning the plot choices and motive behind adding so many elements to the story line. It was way too chaotic. Super disappointed after being such a fan of the author and loving all the previous books. Definitely would not recommend, especially due to the length of the book without any real ending or closure for the characters. Lily's poor mom!

This movie shouldn't even be considered in the descendant franchise. I expected it to be different since all the main characters weren't returning, but this movie was very hard to watch. My daughter loved the original movies and even she wasn't ready for the shock of how bad this movie was. The characters weren't easy to relate to and the story line was hard to follow. The ending seemed very rushed and the songs weren't as catchy as the other movies. Hopefully they don't make anymore of these movies in the future.

My daughter was so excited to watch this movie since she loved Chris Pratt in the jurassic world movies. However, once the movie started I wasn't sure if he was the right choice. The movie is kind of all over the place but I think that is perfect for younger children. There were plenty of laughable or ridiculous moments that I knew children would enjoy. The rest of the cast was amazing and the story plot was there. I just wasn't sure what to expect from the movie based on the trailer. Overall, my daughter really enjoyed it and my older son and my husband had a hard time watching it.

I was really excited to finally watch this movie after seeing who the main characters were and the trailers. It took a little while to get into the movie since there is so much going on at first and would go back and forth from the past. However, it was a very slow film. There were funny and exciting moments, but they were few and far between. I do appreciate that the movie did justice to the book, but with that in mind, I think it could have been executed better. In the end, it wasn't a bad film, just not what I was anticipating.

My son made me read all of the books so that we could talk about them together, he just couldn't get enough. And I found myself loving the series as well. The books weren't predictable and always had some kind of twist to keep you on your toes. Needless to say we were both excited for the TV show to come out. We have been watching it with my husband and daughter, neither of them have read any of the books. Which is why I think they are truly enjoying it. On the other hand, my son and I are having a hard time. None of the characters represent what was portrayed in the books. I understand that TV adaptations are always a little different and there should be room for creativity from the director and producers, but this is just ridiculous. Annabeth was all wrong and it seemed more about her than Percy. Grover wasn't how I had imagined him either. I felt like the changed the characters and their attitudes to reach the audience better, but that is not how the books were written. Truly disappointed in the series so far.

I really wanted to enjoy this film. My daughter showed me the trailer and was instantly hooked on watching it. That being said, we finally got the family together to watch it. Right away, all the kids noticed the animation and were confused. Yes, it's a tribute to past movies and Disney success, but it didn't mean much to this generation. I really liked the goat and star, but thta was about it. The story line moved too fast and didn't really shine on any of the other characters to build a strong connection to the audience. I think that the movie had potential but was ultimately a let down. I enjoyed the little inclusions of past stories and movies. But I felt that the movie was trying too hard to be like Encanto with the fast beats and not so well written lyrics. The villian song reminded me too much of the Maui song from Moana, but it was rough to hear. My daughter got bored not even half way through and everyone else was over it as well. Overall, it wasn't a bad movie I just think it could have been better and they could have spent more time on it overall. Tangled, brave, and Moana are the best newer Disney movies by far and they are considered old lol better luck next time Disney ❤️
