Intense film with great performances and a very neat script. Seems fast paced at the beginning but as the story unravels its speed makes perfect sense. Three versions of the same events create an incredible setting for the actors and actresses to work with the subtleties of perception. Magnificent directing wich comes as no surprise being the experienced Ridley Scott in charge. Realistic and powerful photography. And a score that makes justice to the middle age with instruments and arrangements of the era. An era very cruel to women, silenced and oppressed by men and their vanity, with religion and the power state as their criminal accomplice. The duel in the end is so intense it makes your heart stomp and you hold your breath till it's over. I wasn't expecting to enjoy and cherish this movie so much. It was a wonderful surprise. I would've love to experience it in a movie theater, but nonetheless it grip me from the beginning to the end. Wonderful film.
