First of all, the film is actual copy of Doordarshan telefilm of 80s directed by mahadevan, story is actually of 1980s! Director tried to show in year 2000, in year 2000, hardly any villager had mobile! Only by 2010, most of villagers started using mobile due to reliance mobile service! Situation in year 2000 is quite different from 1980 when most women in village have completed minimum 9th standard! Whatever rural culture showed is no longer practiced today almost 90%!! So what director wanted to show hindu women are dumb, don't know about real world! Plus she injected her feminist agenda, women don't need men! Ask her to tell that to women of Muslim community to which her ex husband and hindu hater belongs to!

Excellent film, but last scene of press meetings with journalists could have been made differently to give more impact and avoid being called propaganda for Government! Though it wasn't propaganda but were facts, but sickular leftist press/media use it call propaganda! Press/media thrives on controversies and film did a good job to show how paid media works against govt for few crumbs! Its basically crumbs and leftist ideology that makes media ignore truth and hide truth, send out selective and half information or news!

The way they portrayed Maharashtrian and UP police is deplorable. Kerala film industry obviously portrayed thinking of keralites that thinks only its police and govt employees are efficient, honest, rest are corrupt, lazy! Moreover it showed a whole village in UP trying to protect criminal which hardly happens, might happen in some slums of Mumbai! During Samajwadi party rule, people feared criminals rather than support them! Things improving under present UP govt! It's high time south cinema remove such jingoistic attitude towards north!
