Saw this by accident. I love Sci-fi movies but not apocalyptic ones. Don't know why people believe in Apocalypse. It's a fact and science proves it that our thoughts/beliefs make our destiny. Why on earth would we collectively try to bring about the catastrophic end to humanity? Back to Awake, I think it was fast paced but dramatic. Acting of the main characters were good but somehow director/writer couldn't do justice to the plot. There were too many twists and unexplained events. Almost the entire city population was caught up in the negative vibration of insomnia. How is that even possible? Only one little girl and one old lady were emotionally empowered to be able to sleep when there was total madness and chaos outside. It's pathetic to witness the weakness of the collective human consciousness. Equally dramatic was the end where the girl discovers that shock treatment was the only remedy. Overall I think if deserves 2 out of 5 stars.
