A very biased view of society. The movie seems to start with the assumption that men and masculinity is a problem in society. It places the blame at the feet of boys and tells them they need to change. Views expressed in the movie are not supported by psychological research. It suggests sex and gender are two different things and that behaviour is purely learnt. This is not supported by research. Different behaviours are demonstated in boys and girls from the time they are born. Girls are more interested in faces from birth. Boys and girls act differntly even in the first few years of life before they have been "taught" how to act. This difference in behaviour is demonstated even in young primates who have not been socialised by human society. The movie seems to be very Americanised feminist propaganda. It doesn't point out that most men are decent caring individuals and that it is only a tiny portion of men in society who behave in the ways suggested in the film. It also present sex, and mens views of sex, in a way that is not reflective of most men. I can see why many of comments by women about this movie are positive, the movie takes a very feminine view of life and society. I am sure if this movie suggested women were the cause of problems in society and suggested they change their behaviour, this movie would never see the light of day. The movie also seems to suggest that being white somehow leads to bad behaviour. This movie SHOULD NOT be used in an educational environment, it does raise some issue that could lead to some helpful discussion but sadly it is wrapped in propaganda that is NOT based in good research. Don't let your sons watch this, have the discussions yourself.
