Probably the most lame and uninspiring Bond movie I've ever seen. No Time to Die has a poor and ill thought out plot to those of us who have been brought up on it. About the only good thing worth seeing was a glimpse of live bees in what looked like a Layens hive. There was no gadgets to speak of where Bond played with in a research lab which has always been a mainstay and part of the charm of previous Bond films. The story line was weak and samish. It had nothing to set it apart from other movie franchises. In my opinion Hugh Dennis was the best actor making an effort of a caricature scientist. As a life long Bond fan I was very disappointed overall though and felt that it was just relying on the money spinner effect of past glory from guaranteed dyed in the wool Bond fans attending.
Why did they have to destroy a life long franchise in one fell swoop by going all politically correct with 007? Even doing that it seemed like she'd been given a bit part and not given the opportunity to create a persona. Oh and while we're at it perhaps we should tip a nod to gay people in case they feel sidelined. So what? Are we supposed to be shocked? Even M is now an alcoholic.
Part of the Bond persona was his charm as a suave ladies man serving Queen and Country not the CIA. Is that so offensive?
Quite frankly I think it should be sent to the war crimes tribunal for taking away the charm that set Bond movies apart from other movies. I went expecting to see a Bond movie not an attempt to copy Bourne series with added PC cobbled into it just for good measure. The first word of the title should be removed.
After seeing this I won't be wasting money on any spin-offs.
