I have watched the Today show for years. I haven’t always liked the handling of some of the exits. However, this latest exit was unprofessional. Kelly was not fired for the racial comments made in her discussion of Halloween costumes. NBC used that as the catalyst to remove her for mainly having low ratings & a fortune of a salary. If race was an issue for NBC then based on her history with the FOX network, NBC would not of hired her in that capacity. The overall culture at the NBC Today show was never going to be a good fit for Kelly to host a Morning show. NBC should pay her the full amount of her contract & additional monies for the pain & suffering she is dealing with. As much as I disagreed with her joining the morning lineup @ the Today Show, even to the point of turning the channel for the 1st time since the early 90’s..... The public loss of her employment was humiliating & no one should ever suffer that kind of public shame. If NBC is really trying to right a wrong then fire the executives that came up with the bright idea to hire Kelly for the Today Show, & contract her an unprecedented fortune/salary. That was a slap in the face to the talented newscasters already on contract with the Today Show.
