Hmmmm... Well, wanted to really dig this after magnificently epic promo trailers via amazingly powerful use of 'Go Ask Alice'! Many issues include some odd tones, & bizarre repetitiveness. Although fine acting, action, cinematography & primary characters provide a welcome foundation, along with impressive cast additions of Jessica Henwick & Priyanka Chopra, it still lacks powerful desirable originality. Jada Pinkett was interesting as an elder Maz Kinaza flavor version of her character, although it also would've been nice to see her younger version as well in the back & forth echoing mind venture scenes... Anyhow, for fans, it's certainly worth seeing & obviously opinions vary with this effort in the series, but overall in summation, 'there still seemed solid room for elevation / improvement'...🎬 B+
