An interesting read in that I learned about the horrors of The Dust Bowl and how that ecological disaster impacted on the lives of so many. I can recommend it on that basis. Some elements of the storyline stretch the imagination somewhat……house almost buried in a sandstorm yet the truck started virtually without any real problem! One of many improbable happenings! Nevertheless I enjoyed it and am off to read John Steinbeck!
