We watch these movies to enter a world of fantasy for awhile and to watch good prevail over evil. They captured some of the old DC Comics look and feel by recreating the over the top alien species and the ancient council sitting in a circle 50 stories up. I think it was their intention to pair the old retro comic hero’s and villains in contrast to a glimmering modern day, resulting in a beautifully shot movie. I enjoyed and only wish they let Ryan Reynolds do more of his trademark ad libs. You can’t overthink a DC comic and expect Shakespeare. It was just a colorful escape for a couple of hours. I enjoyed it. Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively were perfect together.
