I must say, I had watched this show from start to finish (in season 3) and this was the single greatest NZ tv show I have had the pleasure of watching in my entire life. The presenters NEVER acted immature or like they were "pretending" to be funny. The judges were fully UNBIASED in their decision making and every word out of Judge Dean's mouth was inspiring.
And the first episode! Oh, what a marvelous showcase of true NZ talent. Hamish, especially, took it away with his sponge cake and the paintbrush cake reminded me of the ones I made at a birthday party (everyone said they loved it with full mouths)!
As a member of TVNZ, I had the pleasure of getting to watch season 4 early and I must say that it rivalled Shortland Street in entertainment value. Kee Hee, in particular, was a goddess in the kitchen and Monique reminded me so much of my girlfriend!
All in all, anyone who's anyone in NZ has to watch this. It's a masterpiece that, in my opinion, is better than the British show in a number of ways. Me and the family couldn't stop watching (and laughing).
BTW this is a joke. Take it as a joke. The show is hot garbage.
