I love it and got teary at true compassion and that others show. It’s a reminder of the small goodness that people show to others. It’s a coming of age book of a your girl who had the desire to always took forward. It had some dark elements a trail, for a murder / accident. I read it for book club and I’m excited to talk about with the group. Things are never always what they seem and it’s sweet tenderness of friendship of how you think of others as family even though your not related. The first tears shed on the chapter called money for grits. Mabel’s church group taking this abandoned 10 year old girl under there wings. She never had shoes or clothes ❤️❤️❤️❤️
