I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. I played Man of Medan previously and found the story mediocre and the characters uninteresting. I found Little Hope has a deep and interesting story with many levels and metaphors to examine. The characters have great depth and all have a contribution to the story. In order to get full enjoyment, I found it important to accept early on this isn't really a game, It's more of a movie, and as it turns out a movie with multiple versions of the same ending. So if gameplay is important to you, Little Hope isn't going to deliver. The other criticism I see in other reviews is the ending. I however loved the ending. Seems the main complaint with the ending is it left people who believe in the supernatural feeling like the whole story wasn't "real". Yes, they're disappointed a supernatural/sci-fi story isn't "real". Sorry can't help but laugh at the irony. Like many episodes of the Twilight Zone, this story in my opinion blurs the line between realism and supernatural in a very intriguing way as it explores the complex way memories, feelings and thoughts intertwine in the subconscious and can spill over to the conscious. Feelings of guilt, resentment and disappointment are toxic. This story explores this.
