Scott Schaefer

Synopsis: DeNiro plays himself so his character is a boring, self righteous, angry, old man. DiCaprio's acting is very good as usual but is character is possibly the dumbest simple thug in cinematic history...to the point that it is unrealistic. The lead actress does a marvelous job of being ill for nearly four hours. Her role could have been so much more developed. The rest of the characters boringly stereotypical. Great book. Moving story. Dreadfully dreary, boring movie.
