This movie is so good because it’s a story of a kid who’s lost and in pain and is trying to be happy but doesn’t know how, he is dealing with his past traumas as best he can and it just isn’t working. He meets a group of people but 2 become his real best friends and with them he learns to be happy, he gets some pretty good high school experiences with them. He learns how to love how to make friends how to be in a moment how to speak up.
All of these characters have things that they have trouble with and grow from. From Patrick’s closeted relationship at the beginning of the movie and him growing past that in the end, to Candice being hit on by her boyfriend and breaking up with him. These kids all Accept the love they think they deserve wether that be a sexual relationship or a family relationship these people are all dealing with their loves and their losses, their pains and their griefs, they are all realizing their worth. I feel movies try to relate to teens so much nowadays and they just never hit the mark. But this movie features some type of problem that teens are facing and it’s not overboard it’s just right.
The movie has this kid this kid who can’t fit in his siblings are both or we’re both either popular and he isn’t he doesn’t know how to fit in. So he hangs out with the misfits and they teach him so much but the one thing that no one seems to really teach him is how to let go and he takes time to be okay. But he becomes okay he becomes at peace and done with the guilt of the past. I must say this movie is great. the title “perks of being a wallflower” not seen not noticed but when you look at it when you really stop to observe it you can see it has beauty and it is blossoming and it’s growing day by day I love it.
