Great show, but there aee a few things you need to realize if you've read the books. 1. It's not the books, the show somewhat follows the main plot of the book, but that's it. If you are expecting the book version, don't. 2. The current liberal "culture" is forced into the story, pushing it further away from the book and forcing the watcher to view characters that are grossly different than the original. My recommendation is to just watch the show for the show, and not to compare it to the book. If you can do that it's an amazingly good show.
