I’m two episodes in and this show pretty much blows. My wife is forcing me to watch it and this show is really trying my patience. Pros: The acting from the cast is very good, Natalie Portman is solid and the black actress (sorry don’t know her name) is excellent. The plot and writing is just not very good or interesting. Portman seems to be breaking away from her traditional life and a young girl dies. She knew the father of the girl from high school. The other woman works at a shady night club and gets forced into some illegal / mafia type stuff which is interesting. I don’t know where the lake comes into play. doesn’t seem like a lake could be intertwined into the overall theme. It is a dark show which I like. I JUST don’t know where this is going and not looking forward to it … but I’ll check out episode 3 to keep my wife happy. I did read ahead a little bit and I’m intrigued w new information. *** The other 5 star reviews posted are clearly paid for / planted. I watch a lot of Apple TV and this is no where close to the great content produced in the last year. No one who is critiquing this show objectively, would think this is a great show after 2 episodes. 2 out of 5 stars was generous, closer to 1 star, not 3 stars.

A Good Person is arguably the best movie I’ve seen this year. I just saw Air too, this was marginally better. This should be nominated for numerous academy awards. The story is compellingly realistic and the writing is amazing. Zach Braff has a niche for these movies. The acting is excellent. This movie caught me by surprise, real happy it did.
