What an absolute waste of time. The movie was bad, with no proper story whatsoever. Titled as day one, you expect how these aliens landed, how the people understood it responds only to sound, geo political events etc. But what you get is a random character, meeting random character and doing random things, events we’ve already seen so many times. Screenplay felt boring and importantly bad. Waste of time and money

Trigger spoiler alert! Star is a mashup of varanam ayiram, mayakkam enna, vinnaithandi varuvaya, big bang therory( Howard’s mom reference if you can relate to) and a lot more of hit Tamil cinema, except for the fact that it’s presented in the most boring, uninspired way. The screenplay is sloppy, the editing is bad, except for lal no other actors showed any moving performances and there is no soulful connect in the entire movie. The entire movie felt like a coherence of Instagram reels where a random scene pops out spitting universal life lessons which sometimes has no context to the happening. Characters spring out of nowhere only to fulfill the purpose of being the “thelpathri Singh” role to the protagonist ( random kick boxer interviewer and the oddly irritating surabhi). Problem with Tamil cinema is even a two film actor wants to get into “masses” by sacrificing the story points and just satisfy the cravings of the hero worship. If people want to experience the nostalgia of these classic movies they might as well watch the original content rather than directors trying to copy over these movies due to the lack of creativity. I sincerely hope and pray a miracle happens where audiences are not taken for granted and provide quality content.

Good story spoiled by bad screenplay and illogical scenes. The story had a lot of potential to be narrated linearly, but the director chose a non linear way of narration with desperate attempt to lead up to a climax twist. But the flow felt easily predictable and too much chaos within the narration. Stick to the basics and when you have a good story to narrate

A masterpiece from my master ram… thank you for this experience

This is my opinion and written after spending 2 and half hours watching it. I was initially excited that I am gonna watch the movie which was raved by every movie buff! Unlike others, i felt the first 20 mins to be interesting, because after this it's an irritating, tiring and complete waste of time. The visuals were good considering it was conceived 50 yrs back, but what purpose it serves to the story telling is a big let down. The actors were unimpressive and had a robotic face expressions(Or is it purposefully done, I dono and I dont want to know).. From being enthusiastic at the start, I became restless and tired towards the end of the movie. I honestly felt when the movie would end!! And the annoying background score with no visuals at the start and at the intermission point😶!! Big let down!!
