It's not a carbon copy. So? Was anyone really hoping for that? I think it would've been boring seeing the same thing as the cartoon as of course the cartoon would do it better because its an easier medium to work with and with less restraints. This remake is GOOD. I found myself looking forward to the next episode and excited to see some of the new dynamics between the characters. Zuko was PERFECT. The actor NAILED the role 100%. Suki is 20 times more likeable then the original and her dynamic with Sokka actually had substance and motive which the original lacked and made me actually like their relationship. And Sokka is actually FUNNY and I'm here for it. The biggest problems are that some of the pacing is off/ a little rushed, Katara is too nice all the time, Aang isn't selfish enough (that's an annoying but important part of his character). Other than that I enjoyed watching it and am eagerly looking forward to a second season!
