The film reflects the 2020 pandemic by this question: what can lovers do with themselves when they can't save themselves from a virus? Except, it's about humanity losing their memories without knowing how to stop it. And for a film that reflects COVID, I consider this film the best comfort romance film of 2021 that not a whole audience ever got to see. In fact, this film is my favorite of 2021. Why? Because I came back to watching this film 4 times. If that's how many times I've seen it since it came out, that means something. The acting is superb, the direction is as euphoric as its original score, and the film does not hold back on having me care about the protagonists of the film. In fact, it deserves to be in the criterion collection for not being heard of, and for what the film was made for.
