Haven't read the books so my opinion may be inaccurate in some respects. That said, I couldn't decide if this was a drama, a comedy, a farce or some combination of all the above. Some of the characters came across as real buffoons in the initial episodes and I debated about moving on to other offerings. I stuck it out and eventually the episodes seemed to achieve more believability. TBH, I also skipped through all those flashbacks as I didn't think they added much to the storyline in IMO. Unfortunately the first 2 episodes of season 2 brought back more of the illogical elements of the first 2 episodes of season 1. IMO, Joe seems to have digressed into someone who has very little in the way of common sense. Would a real warden take the BS the obviously psychotic Grim brother was spewing and worse, go back to his "camp" to let him "find" his license? I really doubt it . . .
