I first watched this several years ago when it first came out and initially found it “artsy /indie” and raw filmmaking. But after rewatching it recently—it’s actually horrible and glorifies abuse on both the woman and man’s end in the relationship. The film never actually delves deep into the emotional connection between human beings and instead just focuses on their sexual relationship—as if that is the most important thing. Maybe that’s why is doesn’t work out in the end. The acting is ok. But again the film seems to force “depth” with what is really just glorified porn. There are also incredibly problematic and disturbing scenes that verge on rape. It’s also not written very well.
