What makes Deceitful Love on Netflix so gripping is how it draws you into this intense world of love, manipulation, and suspense. The characters keep you guessing, and you’re never quite sure who’s being genuine and who’s hiding something. It’s full of twists that leave you wondering what’s really going on beneath the surface, and that constant tension keeps you hooked. The dark, mysterious Elijah just adds to the intrigue, making it the kind of movie you can’t stop thinking about after it’s over. It’s a fantasy romance thriller with questionable behaviours from the family, challenging morality. If you like films that push you to think about right and wrong in messy, real-life situations, this one might get you reflecting on those moral grey zones. Love is love!

After the 1st episode I was fully invested. The costumes, the sets, the historic period acting are all phenomenal. This show simply oozes dedication to detail, stellar cast and fans of Japan and its ancient culture it is almost a must-see…. can’t wait for the next season!

I binged watched this and thought the plot fascinating. The series is like being in an obsessive love affair with a malignant narcissist. You know you need to leave but there is something that compels you to stay and watch. Sergio plays the part well.
