I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The author says 'if you laugh only once, feel empathy towards any of the characters, or are pleased in some small way by the rhythm of a single sentence, then I shall consider that I have not failed'. Well, he nailed it on all accounts. A resounding success. Terry, Pat and all the other characters and details of the story have stayed with me and I may just have to re-read it. Many thanks.
