A lot of things are left unanswered and confusing. They focused too much on the sets and clothing and jewels. They could have given more attention towards the script.

It was a very weird show. Everyone is sleeping with everyone. And unless you are not an elite your life is meaningless. All of those people who did not end up being in the upper east side were bashed and banished and their storylines were twisted so badly like Dan would not even talk to Vanessa later on. And it is so easy for all of them to just fall in love and then fall out of it. Blair just banishes Jenny in front of her family and they can't say or do anything about it. They just obey. And Charlie was a good character and just because she was poor her plot was twisted so bad. It was very annoying to watch the whole show. Very unrealistic. The only character that made a bit of sense was Nate.
