Unfair bias on healthcare organizations during Covid-19. I worked at at hospital all throughout Covid. I was up on the floors bagging hazardous trash and restocking nursing floor carts. I am Latino, and before Covid worked non-clinical operations. But let me tell you that I worked alongside hospital workers and administrators who worked the floors like I did that were of all ethnicities and risking their lives just the same. It was truly remarkable. Didn't matter your race, color, background, rich or poor, administrator or plain Joe...everybody came together and did what was needed. Room cleaning, delivering food trays, hazardous trash removal, etc. I can also attest to patients being prioritized due to severity, and yes unfortunately we sent patients who weren't as severe in that moment who ended up passing. But that was all races, colors, socioeconomic backgrounds. It was a pandemic!! Are there social disparities in healthcare? Resoundingly....YES!! But this documentary focuses on a period of time and gives examples of stories that happened to EVERYONE...regardless of color. Hospitals sent people home (not based on color)...and people died. I saw it...I lived it. It was horrible and scary. We kept bodies in refridgeration trucks for Christ sake! Are Black's & minorities disparaged when it comes to healthcare? Absolutely YES...there is no denying it. Even Fauci admitted it. But THIS documentary is flawed!! I am sorry for these people, I am sorry for EVERYONE that was turned away. But never in a million years would our hospital treat a patient differently due to race. We need to get active in Black communities to change the stigma of healthcare and educate the population on PREVENTATIVE healthcare. We have 2 clinics 22 minutes apart with several physicians including Behavioral Wealth, Women's Care, substance abuse counseling, etc. that care for our undeserved patients (those with little or no healthcare insurance). One of our biggest problems are cancelations due to transportation. Get active and help your neighbors. Be the change you want to see!!! ❤️ one family, one planet
