These Four Walls

A nearly perfect horror film. Yes, it's a slow burn. (We're talking sloth-speed.) But if you go into the film with adjusted expectations, and kinda allow it to wash over you and surround you with its darkness and great sound design, I think you'll understand why so many people find this film utterly terrifying and devastatingly bleak. A-

Interesting film... but it completely lost me somewhere along the way. I can't quite put my finger on why I became so annoyed, but alas, by the end of the film, I was left feeling agitated at the characters choices, unsympathetic as to who was going to make it or not, and just plain confused. I certainly have sat through worse films, so I'm trying to be fair... MOST of the actors did their jobs really well. (BUT a couple of the actors performances were atrocious .... I'd have preferred watching paint dry.) I get what it was going for.... I just don't think it arrived at it's destination. (And if it did, I must have hopped off at the wrong stop.)
