After waiting so many years for one of the best movies to be released, I am completely hurt and disappointed. Even after watching part 2-3, I figured things would be so much better after having 18 years to write another movie. But seeing as time moves forward, peoples views and thought process change, this movie is 40% rewind of the first Matrix and 60% undefined acting. The first hour of the movie is almost all of part one. Not using the same characters as before is hurtful. Bring back Trinity and Neo, but not the rest of the crew is a waste of money on its own. The cat has more scenes than needed. This new architect is boring and too “properly corny.” The new “bullet time” was basically very high-speed movement. I watched this movie for 3 days and could not get into it. I’m glad I watched it for free on HBO and the end credits. Let me speak on those. More green letters on my screen like a computer from the 80’s and No teaser. Nothing. Just props and acknowledgments. They should’ve put Porky Pig at the end saying “that’s all folks.”
The movie is missing the other half of the writers. The brother or sister is I my say. It started as a team movie and end with no conflicting brother ideas. I remember seeing the trailer for the first Alaric and couldn’t wait for it to come out. Then at the theater, most of the guys were out of there seat or in the isle acting out parts of what we just watched. Chills and chats were everywhere. It was loud and exciting. EVERYONE was focused on nothing else but the big screen. The women were just as excited as the men. Chanting for the strong Trinity to defend here life and man. A love story. But this Matrix leaves Trinity off with some other guy, has created a family, Neo finds her and she just leaves her family 😂. Even if she is in the Matrix, that’s a cold way of saying bye.
Some of you here have lowered your expectations with The Matrix. You just wanted to see the cast come back and some did. But they left the original excitement we all had watching the first. 18 years being able to write, direct and produce a movie is a long time and WB let me down with this one BIG TIME.
