Warning: long rant incoming bc 2k stole my $70 so this is the least I could do. Only gets 1 star bc 0 isn’t an option. Not just lazy, but a genuinely bad gaming experience from someone who’s played 2k since 2k12. This is purely from a MyCareer perspective. Mechanically speaking, the game feels clunky, players constantly getting stuck on non screens. Teammates walk out of bounds bringing the ball up. For some reason, on non center court jumpballs, even if I win the tip, my teammates never move to catch it. Teammate grade heavily penalized for small mistakes like “bad shot selection” on open threes with 75+ rating but almost little to no rewards for good plays. It feels like the game wants you to play it’s way rather than make smart basketball decisions. The little tweaks like playing as previous generations and the daily challenges are fun. IMO there’s too many badges and some can be combined to limit redundancy. Otherwise, almost no difference from 2k23.
