After watching The Lion King (2019). I was very disappointed, the run time of the 2019 movie is longer than the original one, but this is because many of the scenes were stretched out. Like in the beginning where there is a mouse running around, in the original Lion King this scene went on for 10 seconds. While in the 2019 Lion King, this scene lasts for 1 minute and 35 seconds. It was really boring sitting in the movie theater watching a mouse run around for a whole minute. Another reason The Lion King (2019) is a disappointment is because Disney completely scrapped out Be Prepared. One of the most best songs in the Lion King completely cut out of the 2019 version. Like Disney how could you do this to us. The last reason is that many memorable moments from The Lion King (1994) like Rafiki hitting Simba in the head, or Rafiki singing and dancing on a tree, were nowhere to be seen in The Lion King (2019). Which really shattered my heart. Like me and my friends still mention those scenes from time to time, but the next generation won’t even know it exists. This movie will just show newer generations how bad the movie is. And that why I do not recommend watching this movie, just go watch the animated version it’s much more better.
