First off, I am sorry to sound pessimistic, but I cannot understand the absolutely horrible decisions and complete absent-mindedness of the lead in this film. Nor can I understand how Rotten tomatoes could ever in a million years give this a rating anywhere near 90% (like..........what?) I suppose the beginning scenes did feel fresh, unique, and relatable however it just gets whiplashed before you know it via the lead (litterally constantly) making the worst decisions.
Spoiler alert
It took about 5 scenarios of her being followed and harassed for her to even comprehend or realize she was being followed??????? When the psycho pulls up on her at the truck stop and she's on the phone with her mom,, instead of saying "mom by the way, there's a guy that's chasing me around and he's litterally coming up to me right now" SHE SAYS "GOTTA GO MOM" AND HANGS UP.
Then
all she had to do was quietly run out the door behind the maniac but instead was as loud as possible? (Simply FRUSTRATING)
she still gets away though-
into a giant forest with thousands of hiding spots with a 30 second headstart...
Wanna know what she does when the guys hundreds of feet behind and can't find her?
Oh no,of. Of course she doesn't begin to think about hhiding, or even being quiet
SHE SCREAMS and walks as slow as possible ( LMAO )
I am so sorry but I had to turn it off as it was painful to watch her continually make it as easy as possible for him to find her. So much potential with the plot and awesome and intense vibe, music, and setting. But the constantly awful and obviously ignorant decisions messed that up in my opinion ☮
