Not sure where to start. I was on a trip with my sister, a a 2 year old, a 4 year old and my 30 year old special needs daughter. During the trip the 4 year old was watching this movie and my 30 yr old daughter started watching it when it was more then half over. She says to me when we get home we need to watch this movie (NOT knowing the first 3/4 of the movie was about.). So we did. OMG WHAT WAS DISNEY THINKING????? I couldn’t believe what I was watching. I watch my 3 year old grandson during the week and occasionally my 10 year old granddaughter (who happens to have older sister but still) if I watched this with her not knowing about it her mother would have been furious with me. HOW dare Disney take it upon themselves to introduce sex and the starting of a girl period. Seriously this is not how you a little girl should find out about it. Maybe when a girl is about to start and both mother and daughter watches it together that way the mother can answer her daughters questions but that it. I was shocked and mortified by the mothers reaction in this movie. Scare a girl why don’t you, thinking if she says something to her mom her mom will do what the girls mom does. A girl starting her period is a private matter and it should be handled in a gentle and loving way. Needless to say from this moment on I’m warning other parents not to let their children watch this movie unless their child is age appropriate. If I could give this movie negative stars I would. Walt Disney himself would be ashamed of this movie and what his family fun movie safe company has become. Disney shame on you and take it off Disney+ it should have this on it WARNING NOT FOR YOUNG VIEWERS UNDER THE AGE OF 12.
