Wanted to see this with my girls 10 and 12 and so we set a date night. The Day of the movie I looked up reviews and needless to say, it didn't sound promising and I tried to get the girls to go see something else. They didn't budge since they were already set on seeing it.
First of all this is not a comedy and that's what I think the problem is, it is a drama. Unlike some others, I found the plot plenty easy to follow. It will pull at your heartstrings, bring back memories and make you laugh. All in all, take your family to see this movie, I would say ages 9-15 and adults.
What is stopping this movie from being a huge hit, is you expect a comedy from the actors that are in it and it's filmed in a style that is more geared to adults.
