Full disclosure, I am privileged to know the Author personally; nevertheless, I believe the facts of her achievements and abundant talent more than sufficiently eclipse any personal bias on my part (or anyone else's for that matter).
Coming fourth in Masterchef 2022, becoming Scotland's top contestant in the process, against top quality finalists where the margin between survival and elimination was extremely wafer-thin, Sarah's Book forensically exemplifies her meritorious Masterchef credentials.
As somebody who was a disaster area in Home Economics during my schooldays, I find Kith both helpful and encouraging in equally high measure to build up some much-needed confidence and skillset in the Kitchen. For example, I do not ever recall before anyone else explaining why only unsalted butter should be used for certain recipes.
It doesn't take long to read this book to realise her genuine, abundant passion for food, where and how it is sourced, preparing it and serving it. To say this Book is comprehensive in detail would be an understatement.
In this Book, she has categorised the Recipes into the 4 Seasons. I shall take those 4 seasons over Vivaldi's, Franki Valli's and Crowded House's any day.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough to anyone interested in the finest quality food, let alone the finest Scottish Cuisine.
Congratulations on your well-deserved success once again Sarah.
